Rise up and support Perth fundraiser
Fresh off a huge month that saw Rise Up artists recognised at the 2026 WAM Song of the Year Awards, Boss Arts Creative is preparing to bring together the artists behind its acclaimed Rise Up program for a special live showcase and fundraiser in Perth on June 5.
The Rise Up Album event will celebrate the release of the program’s first compilation album, featuring twelve original tracks from twelve artists who have spent the past year developing their songwriting, recording and performance skills through the program.
The audience can expect an evening packed with live music, powerful storytelling, culture, community and some of Western Australia’s most exciting emerging artists.
The event follows a remarkable run of success for Rise Up artists at the 2026 WAM Song of the Year Awards, including Alyssa taking home the Outstanding Indigenous category award and being named Second Runner-Up overall for her song Walk With The Elders. Fellow Rise Up artists Kenzo, Worlmiyak, Indigo Ellis and Bella-Rae were also recognised among the Top 20.

Developed by Boss Arts Creative, Rise Up supports artists to create, record and release original music while building confidence, industry knowledge, performance experience and cultural connection. The compilation album represents the culmination of months of hard work, creativity and collaboration from artists ranging across multiple genres and backgrounds.
From hip hop and R&B to folk, pop and contemporary First Nations storytelling, the album showcases the diversity, talent and unique voices emerging through the program.
Boss Arts Creative Chairperson Della Rae Morrison said the showcase is an opportunity to celebrate the artists while raising funds to support future creative pathways.
“Rise Up is about creating opportunities for artists to find their voice, tell their stories and connect with audiences through music,” she said.
“This showcase celebrates everything the artists have achieved throughout the program. We’re incredibly proud of the talent on this album and excited to bring the community together for a night of live music, culture and connection while raising funds to support the future of Boss Arts Creative.”
Funds raised through the event will directly support future Boss Arts Creative programs, helping provide recording opportunities, mentoring, performance pathways and creative development for emerging artists across Western Australia.

Whether you’re a supporter of local music, passionate about First Nations storytelling, or simply looking for an incredible night out, the Rise Up Album Launch promises a showcase of talent, heart and community.
