IAG partnership to strengthen financial literacy

May 28, 2026

In line with National Reconciliation Week themed ‘All In’, insurance giant IAG has announced a three-year partnership with First Nations Foundation (FNF) aimed at strengthening financial literacy and economic resiliency within Indigenous communities.

The partnership will enable FNF to expand its digital training programs and develop a general insurance module within its award-winning ‘My Money Dream’ initiative, with the purpose of increasing financial risk awareness and insurance knowledge.

Key Points

  • Partnership aligns with IAG’s Financial Inclusion Action Plan goals
  • Advances Reconciliation Action Plan commitment to partner Indigenous-led
  • Aims to deliver social, environmental and economic outcomes
  • Focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples

For IAG, the partnership is an opportunity to learn from FNF’s extensive research to further embed cultural capability and inclusion into its customer support frameworks and workplace policies.

“We are delighted to partner with FNF to support their valuable work in building greater financial wellbeing and economic resiliency for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples,” IAG CEO Retail Insurance Australia Julie Batch said.

Leah Bennett, Wiradjuri and Ngiyampaa, CEO First Nations Foundation said: “We are very grateful for the support of IAG and look forward to working together to expand our education pathways and digital tools to help First Nations peoples thrive financially.

“As a small not-for-profit Indigenous-led organisation, our voice and impact are strengthened greatly when we have allies inside financial institutions who are committed to making a lasting impression on the lives and livelihoods of First Nations communities.”

The partnership also delivers on the goals set out in IAG’s Financial Inclusion Action Plan (FIAP), and its Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) commitment to partner with Indigenous-led businesses that deliver meaningful social, environmental and economic outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
