Indigenous-led mental health approach at national conference
The Australian Indigenous Psychologists Association (AIPA), is to host the National Indigenous Mental Health & Suicide Prevention Conference in Adelaide next month to strengthen Indigenous‑led approaches to mental health, healing and suicide prevention.
In partnership with Aventedge, the 5th National Conference from March 24-26, will bring together community members, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs), mental health practitioners, lived experience advocates, researchers and policymakers from across Australia to engage in keynotes, panel discussions, yarning sessions and practical workshops focused on community‑driven, systemic change.
The National Indigenous Mental Health & Suicide Prevention Conference provides a vital platform to centre Indigenous leadership, share community-led initiatives, and co-create pathways to healing, resilience and self- determination across our communities.
