Grants to strengthen economic growth for Noongar people
The WA Government is supporting economic growth and business development opportunities for Noongar people through a $180,000 grant program.
The Aboriginal Governance and Leadership Development Program (AGLDP) is offering grants of up to $30,000 to each of the six Noongar Regional Corporations in the South West Native Title Settlement.
The grants will assist these corporations to continue to build economic capability and capacity.

“By investing in the strategic planning and capability development work led by the six Noongar Regional Corporations, we’re supporting community aspirations grounded in culture, connection, and local knowledge,” Aboriginal Affairs Minister Don Punch said.
“This approach reflects a commitment to strengthening local capacity, leading to sustainable outcomes that will benefit communities now and into the future.”
Grants are available for business planning, feasibility studies, technical advice, and professional services to activate economic opportunities.
The initiative is part of the Government’s commitment to a shared future and working in partnership with Noongar people to capture economic opportunities that generate enduring employment, social, and environmental benefits.
Regional Development Minister Stephen Dawson said the Government was providing the tools and resources to help strengthen Noongar Regional Corporations for the long term.
“The Aboriginal Governance and Leadership Development Program is a multi-dimensional initiative providing opportunities for Aboriginal people in corporate governance, procurement, and business leadership,” he said.
“This grant round will allow the Noongar Regional Corporations to build on this initial investment, solidifying their organisational capability and identifying opportunities for business and economic growth.”
