Yarpa Ready program a major success

December 29, 2025

15 participants have graduated from the inaugural Yarpa Ready program with leaders declaring it a major success.

The participants, who came from 10 businesses from diverse industries, leaned in, showing strong engagement, honest questions and generous peer support across the six-week course to build a real momentum and a solid foundation for future cohorts.

“This program holds a special place in my heart. It was almost five years ago when I started working closely with industry leaders as the Yarpa Industry Relationships Manager, that I realised there was a need for a program like Yarpa Ready,” director Shannon Mallison said.

Significant milestone

“I knew that through the collective knowledge of our team, industry leaders, First Nations businesses and the Western Sydney University, we could build a program to truly benefit our members in a bid to increase their knowledge and capabilities around procurement and tendering.

“This is a significant milestone – it is a testament to commitment to building strong, competitive, and sustainable businesses.

Ms Mallinson said that over the six weeks, the participants gained practical insights into procurement processes, industry benchmarks and commercial expectations.

“They learned how to evaluate market positioning, identify tender opportunities, strengthen networks, build a customised bid library and respond effectively to tenders,” she said.

Partnership with Western Sydney University

“These skills will help them navigate major project and supply chain opportunities with confidence.”

Across the six weeks, participants have:

  • Benchmarked their businesses and market position
  • Built a practical bid library
  • Practiced responding to tenders with clearer value propositions
  • Strengthened networks and contract management skills

Co-designed with industry and delivered in partnership with Western Sydney University, Yarpa Ready is a university-certified micro-credential blending in-hub workshops, weekly online consulting and ongoing coaching from the Yarpa team.
