WA entrepreneurs on world stage in Melbourne

A delegation of 11 local Aboriginal entrepreneurs, small-to-medium-sized enterprises and emerging exporters have been selected to represent WA at the World Indigenous Business Forum in Melbourne (Naarm) this week.

Now in its 16th year, WIBF is a leading global platform showcasing Indigenous economic development and entrepreneurship, attracting business leaders, policymakers and innovators from around the world.

The Department of Energy received 40 applications through its expression of interest process, with 58 per cent of applicants coming from female-owned businesses.

In addition, two female Aboriginal entrepreneurs have also been sponsored to join the delegation through the WA Government’s New Industries and Innovation Fund.
