Price ‘excited’ to be back in frontline politics
Indigenous Liberal Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price has said she is “really pleased” and “excited” to be back on the front benches of politics as the new shadow small business minister/
Senator Price told Sky News host Chris Kenny “it’s really good to be back” yesterday.
“I’ve arrived. I’m here. It’s good to be back,” Senator Price told Sky.
“I’m really pleased to be given this responsibility back on the front bench to be working with other colleagues in their portfolios.
Economic issues
“Really, I think it’s such a stellar front bench and I’m just really excited to get on with this job going forward to serve the Australian people.”

With the Coalition in freefall recently, Senator Price said she and her party hope to “fix” the nation’s economic issues and raise living standards.
“We are the party of small government and our role is to create an environment where small businesses can thrive,” she said.
“And when we get out of the way and let Aussies get on with the job, that way we can ensure that people are employed, that more opportunities exist and that we can have a healthier economy, that everyone’s contributing meaningfully in that way.”

Senator Price claimed about 40,000 businesses have collapsed on Anthony Albanese’s watch and said last year was the worst on record for business insolvencies.
“Labor has put in place some 5,000 new regulations that are like sand in the gears of the economy… We need businesses to be freer – liberated from Labor’s onerous taxes and the reams of government paperwork that turn ambition into anxiety, she told 2GB radio listeners.
Alternative government
‘I’m working with a front bench team that has the energy, the skills and what it takes to hold this government to account.
“We are ready to demonstrate that we are the alternative government for this country.”
Price’s return comes after former leader Sussan Ley asked for her resignation over remarks she made about Indian migrants during an ABC interview last September.
