Partnership to support Aboriginal youth wellbeing

February 6, 2026

The WA Government has formalised a partnership agreement with the Kimberley Aboriginal Regional Governance Group at a ceremonial event in Broome.

The Kimberley Aboriginal Youth Wellbeing Steering Committee Partnership Agreement was developed to fundamentally change the way the State Government and Aboriginal leaders in the Kimberley work together.

“This partnership agreement formalises our existing commitment to improving the wellbeing of young Aboriginal people in the Kimberley,” Mental Health and Health Minister Meredith Hammat said.

“I feel confident this partnership agreement will build on existing activity to foster real and long-lasting change for Aboriginal people, families and communities.”
