Experts to investigate better Indigenous health options

September 16, 2025

Over 400 health professionals will this week gather on Dharawal Country in Wollongong, NSW to discuss what shapes public health in Australia and beyond, including Indigenous voices, and budget choices.

The Australian Public Health Conference 2025, themed ‘Leadership and collaboration to connect a divided world’, begins on September 16 until September 18 and is organised by Australia’s peak body for public health, the Public Health Association of Australia.

Shaping the future

The Indigenous Voices in shaping our future conference on Sept 17, will see First Nations speakers discuss how the country can collectively bring better health outcomes for the Indigenous population and beyond.

Investing for Wellbeing: How Budget Choices Influence Our Health will be another topic of the conference where speakers will explore why it’s important to invest in wellbeing and how the public health community can advocate for investment.

And conference members will also explore how AI could assist Public Health and change the way people view and measure health, and how it can assist prevention efforts.
