Energy conference opportunity for Aboriginal businesses
Expressions of Interest are open for eligible Aboriginal businesses to join the WA Government’s Aboriginal Business Pavilion at Energy Exchange Australia 2026.
EXA, formerly AOG Energy, will be held from 10 – 12 March 2026 at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The exhibition and conference is a place for professionals to connect, learn, network and explore opportunities across all aspects of the energy sector, from oil and gas to renewables and clean energy solutions.
In 2025, the event attracted more than 6,000 attendees from 33 countries, 257 exhibitors and 170 speakers, including the UK High Commissioner, the US Consul General and the Ambassador of Italy to Australia.
This will be the fourth year the WA Government has hosted the Aboriginal Business Pavilion. Last year saw 12 co-exhibitors take part, with expressions of interest increasing year on year.
Fantastic opportunity
Aboriginal Affairs Minister Don Punch said the Pavilion was a fantastic initiative that would help open doors for Aboriginal-owned organisations and businesses by connecting them with other industry professionals.
“This will also help to create meaningful training and employment opportunities for Aboriginal communities,” he said.
The Pavilion provides a platform for Aboriginal-owned businesses to showcase their products, technologies, innovations and services to the domestic and international energy supply chain.
This initiative supports the Government’s Implementation Plan on Closing the Gapand its Aboriginal Empowerment Strategy.
Both aim to expand economic opportunities for Aboriginal people by connecting Aboriginal businesses to local and global markets.
The Expression of Interest period is open until October 24.
