Rottnest call to join Wadjemup Aboriginal reference group

The Rottnest Island Authority has released an Expression of Interest for qualified and experienced people to join the Wadjemup Aboriginal Reference Group.

Established in 2017, the Wadjemup Aboriginal Reference Group (WARG) provides advice to RIA on reconciliation matters and the management of non-legislative cultural heritage on the island.

The EOI is open until 26 May 2026. The term of appointment is until 1 January 2028. More information about the process can be found at ria.wa.gov.au/wargeoi

Established in 2017, the Wadjemup Aboriginal Reference Group (WARG) provides advice to Rottnest Island Authority on reconciliation matters and the management of cultural heritage on the island.

The WARG consists of six Aboriginal members from different language groups across the State.

Membership is open to people who have experience across a criteria relating to Aboriginal cultural heritage matters, reconciliation implementation and frameworks, and museum and collections management.
