More solar panels for the Kimberley

The Ardyaloon community in the Pilbara in WA is to become the third community in the region to benefit from rooftop solar installations.

Bidyadanga and Warmun communities have already seen solar installations as part of a State government-funded Solar Saver program.

About 300 rooftop solar systems are set to be installed, delivering average annual savings of about $450 to more than 400 households.

Horizon Power program manager Dylan Hearty says the initiative has been well received in the communities where it has already been rolled out.
