Native Title Settlement reaches key milestone in WA
The South West Native Title Settlement has reached another delivery milestone with $15.4 million paid to the Noongar Boodja Trust to establish administrative offices for the six Noongar Regional Corporations and Central Services Corporation.
The State Government, Noongar Corporations and Trustee of the Noongar Boodja Trust have worked together to ensure an equal allocation will be available to each Noongar Corporation for premises that best support their work in delivering Settlement benefits for their respective communities.
This milestone reflects the State Government’s ongoing commitment to deliver Settlement outcomes in partnership with the Noongar Corporations.
The Settlement, negotiated between the State Government and the Noongar people, formally commenced in 2021.

It commits to the delivery of funds, land, assets and ongoing partnership arrangements for Noongar-led social, economic and cultural outcomes over generations.
“The Government is committed to ensuring the continued delivery of Settlement benefits in strong partnership with the Noongar Corporations,” Aboriginal Affairs Minister Don Punch said.
“This payment marks a significant milestone in the implementation of the South West Native Title Settlement, delivering vital infrastructure to support Noongar governance and Noongar driven outcomes.”
